We are done with the math and ELA m-step. Yay!! This week we will return to our regular routine (writing, social studies, science rotation and reading groups).
Reminder: The reading calendars are due on Wednesday.
We will not have any more spelling tests this year.

Classroom Policies
Behavior Management:
Negative Choices ~
If students are not making good choices, they will be talked to by Mrs. Stephan and given a warning. If they continue to make bad choices, they will be asked to move down on the clip chart. If the negative behavior still continues, the student will be asked to move down to the bottom spot on the clip chart. Mrs. Stephan will also contact the student's parents. Students do have the opportunity to move back up the clip chart if their behavior significantly improves. If they are asked to move up (and do not end the day on the bottom of the clip chart), Mrs. Stephan will not contact their parents.
Positive Choices ~
If students are making positive choices and going above and beyond the expected behavior, they will be asked to move to the top spot on the clip chart. Leader tickets will also be sporadically rewarded to students who are showing leadership qualities in the classroom.
Weekly Reading:
Calendars are due on Wednesdays.
Homework:
Green homework folders will be sent home each night and are expected to return the next day. They will contain any homework or notes you need to look over. Please help your student keep these folders clean. Typically notes and graded assignments will be sent home on Friday.
Planners:
Please sign your student's planner each night after checking for homework. These will come home each night and should return the next day.
